Calcium is an essential mineral that plays a vital role in the formation and maintenance of our bones and teeth. It provides the necessary strength and hardness for them to function properly.

Moreover, calcium enables our blood to clot, our muscles to contract, and our heart to beat. In fact, it's involved in many essential bodily functions.

Approximately 99% of calcium in our body is stored in our bones and teeth. Unfortunately, our bodies use up and lose calcium on a daily basis.

Since our bodies cannot produce calcium on their own, it's crucial to consume it from external sources such as dietary supplements or calcium-rich foods.
